Are you on the hunt for a meaningful Easter craft to do with your kids? Search no further! This Resurrection garden is the epitope of all spring decor on my opinion! Though bunnies are cute and Easter eggs are pretty, they really have nothing to do with what we celebrate on Easter Day. Not only does the resurrection garden highlight the significant meaning of the holiday, it is such a fun way to teach young hearts what Resurrection Sunday is all about!

The point of this little mini garden is to emphasize that Jesus arose from the grave! He is alive and that is symbolized by the flowers growing all around the “grave” and inside of it too. Though this process is pretty self-explanatory, I will describe how I put this Resurrection garden together.
Matthew 28:6: “He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

What You’ll Need to Make Your Own Resurrection Garden
- a pot/ container for the mini garden
- soil
- your choice of flowers
- Something that resembles the grave*
- a rock
- sticks(to make the three crosses)
- rubber bands
You can let your creativity be your guide! Really anything that reminds you of the Resurrection will work great! You can make your garden as BIG or as small as you’d like. I think it would be even pretty cool to assemble something in the ground too. I placed mine in a pot that way I can bring it inside during the Easter season.
*I used a thrifted soup bowl with the lid for the grave and the rock that was rolled away by an angel when Jesus resurrected. If you have a small clay pot with a rock, that is an even more accurate depiction of the tomb where Jesus laid.

How to Make It:
- First, I got some soil and placed it inside of my pot to create a base for all the other things.
- Next, stick whatever you’re using for the tomb/grave into the soil.
- Plant the flowers, leaving some room for the crosses.
- Make three crosses by securing a smaller stick perpendicular to another stick with a rubber band.
- Lastly, poke the crosses into the soil of the resurrection garden.

This Resurrection garden is a new Easter tradition we are starting in our home! It’s such a cute craft and filled with so much meaning. As you assemble this little resurrection garden with your children, it’s a wonderful visual for them to imagine what it was like when our Lord and Savior held victory over death!
