Whether you’re a coffee or tea drinker, setting up a little cute station with all of the things you need to drink your favorite hot beverage makes it so much more enjoyable to whip up! We converted a section of our kitchen into a coffee bar and it streamlined our morning routine.
I don’t know about you, but I find myself pretty groggy in the morning and I wanted to make it easy-peasy to make myself a latte. This coffee bar is the perfect solution! Not only can you design it the way you like it, I enjoy it more for how convenient it is to have all I need to make our drinks in one place.

Your coffee bar will obviously vary in size, depending on how much space you have. Since we had an empty wall in our kitchen, we decided to make use of it and set up our coffee bar there. In this post, I will go through the steps we took to curate a beautiful and functional space!
Step 1
First, we bought this sliding barn door entertainment center from Facebook marketplace. This enabled us to place our espresso machine and tea kettle on top and store other items in the shelves underneath.

Step 2
Next up, we hung up these pretty floating shelves so that we can place more items up on top. Now, I’m no interior designer, but I thought the wall looked bare without something on top of the coffee bar table. So we found the solution with these floating shelves that we bought for a steal deal off a local auction.

Step 3
Next, we attached this cup hanger to the wall so that we have easy access to our mugs. Click on this link if you’re interested in buying some similar hanging racks.

Step 4
Lastly, we placed all of the loose leaf teas, sweeteners, tea towels, and other kitchen items, such as salad bowls, in the storage space in the cabinet.

What I love about this coffee bar and just homemaking in general is that I can let my creativity soar! These photos show what my tea station currently looks like. However, I’m constantly changing things up to make it more comfortable for us to use. Also, with the seasons you could add different items for decor to make it fit the time of year.
Here are some close-up shots of the items we chose to display on our hanging shelves. We didn’t even have to buy anything extra for these shelves. Simply place a few items that bring you joy up there along with whatever else you’ll need for when you’ll be whipping up your drink. Aesthetics and functionality both have their place when you’re making a little coffee bar:)

Some other items you can place on your coffee bar include- syrups, sugar, honey, French press, dishes, glass jars, and cutting boards. You really can’t go wrong with whatever you choose! What I chose to place onto my floating shelves were my sourdough bread bannetons, a few plants, my salt and pepper grinders, multiple books, my tea steeper (this one is very similar to mine if you’re interested), some coasters, and my syrup dispensers (similar to mine as well). As you can tell, not everything is specifically coffee/tea related. Since my kitchen is small, the floating shelves are a perfect location for other kitchen items as well.
