During the entire winter season, I always keep this ginger, lemon, & honey syrup in my fridge to add to my teas or spoon out just like that!
The mixture of these three really kicks any infections out the door! We all know that lemon, ginger, and honey boosts our immunity, but most people just start taking them when they get sick. Why not take them daily as a preventative!?

- blender, like my Ninja blender
- board
- knife
Ingredients
- 4 lemons
- 1 ginger root
- 1/2 cup honey

Instructions for Ginger, Lemon, & Honey Syrup
- Cut up the lemons and ginger into smaller pieces to make it easier for your blender to blend. I keep the lemon peel on, but feel free to remove if you do not want pulp in your syrup.

2. Add all of the ingredients into your blender or food processor.

3. Blend until no large chunks remain and the honey is incorporated well into the syrup.
4. Pour into jars and store in the fridge!

Adding a Spin on this Syrup
Some other ingredients that can be added are garlic and cayenne pepper. I usually don’t add these into my syrup right aways because both garlic and cayenne pepper are very strong in flavor. I do like to take a few spoonfuls of my already-made syrup and mix in either garlic or cayenne pepper (or both) into a separate bowl and take it that way. If I am feeling like my immune system is down, I will sometimes do this to add some more immune-boosting ingredients into my system.
Also, feel free to play around with the proportions of the recipe! If you want to make it sweeter, add more honey. If you want it to be more sour, add more lemons. If you like the kick that ginger gives, add more ginger. I find that I like this proportion best because it is balanced and the texture is just right. If you want it to be more liquid-y, add more lemons without the peel.
How Long Will This Syrup Last in the Fridge?
This syrup lasts for months in the fridge as long as you use a clean spoon to take the syrup. I have had one jar in the back of the fridges until summer and it was still good. That’s what I love about this stuff, you can just make it once and it will last you the entire winter season!
