Simple & Beautiful Handmade Fall Decor Ideas

September 9, 2024 by TwoPeasinTwoPods 4 Comments

Do you need some inspiration for simple and beautiful handmade fall decor ideas? Although I like keeping it minimal on decor all year long, it is fun to make your home more cozy especially during the fall and winter months. Most of us live life on a budget, so why not make your own decor?

These ideas will work for the fall either all season long or if you want to decorate your home specifically for Thanksgiving. Thank you to Bethany from An Inspired Home, Nikki from Sew Nikki, Makenzie from Home Sweet Harps for partnering with us on this post! Go check them out and support them!

Simple Thankful Banner

This beautiful but simple banner is perfect for the mantle or your kitchen hutch! Hang it up for when the family will come together for Thanksgiving! Made with a few simple materials and tools you already probably have on hand like card stock, twine, and a hole puncher. Check out the detailed instructions here!

Handmade Table Runner

Looking for a new table runner this season? This one is for you! Even if you are not a sewer or very crafty, these easy-to-follow instructions will lead you through! It is very customizable, meaning you could go for a more neutral fall look by using earthy tones like brown, tan, sage, and terracotta. Or you could even make it all one color! Handmade pieces are always much more special and you could even gift it to family and friends for a meaningful gift this Thanksgiving!

Embroidered Napkins

Here’s another one to bring to the thanksgiving table (no pun intended)! How cute are these embroidered thanksgiving napkins!? Simply using a needle and thread, outline whatever you want on a napkin, from an acorn to a leaf or a pumpkin, and sew it on! Click here for more detailed instructions. What a cute twist this will bring to the table decor for Thanksgiving!

Fabric Pumpkins

Pumpkins are the most fall-y decor in my opinion! Follow my tutorial on how to make these cute pumpkins. I show how to make it with fabric (as seen on the left) and out of an old sock (right). Easy, cute, and affordable!
