How to Dry Flowers on a Branch as Wall Decor

February 26, 2026 by TwoPeasinTwoPods 10 Comments

I decided to make something special from the flowers that my husband got me for Valentine’s Day and came across this idea of hanging the flowers to dry off of a branch. I love the way it turned out and it was honestly a very easy project!

What You Will Need for this Project:

  • clear fishing wire
  • scissors
  • a branch (go on a walk and look for one outside)
  • fresh flowers to dry (or go and pick wildflowers outside!)
  • yarn or string of choice

This project can honestly be free if you decide to just look outside for beautiful wildflowers, a branch, and just use what you have on hand! It doesn’t need to be expensive to make a cozy and beautiful home! I love bringing in the outdoors into my home.

After the Flowers Dry

I won’t lie, the flowers looked gorgeous even when they were fresh, but now that they dried they are even more gorgeous! The colors on the flowers get more muted as they dry and give my living room some cottage core vibes now! This is a great project to try for sentimental bouquets that you receive. Using a larger branch stick, you can hang bouquets on it as well. There are so many ways you can make this dried floral wall decor! I hope you feel inspired to try this in your home!
