FAQ’s

Q: Could I use regular sugar instead of brown sugar?

A: Regular sugar will work, but it will change the consistency.

Q: Could I make these baked apples in the instant pot?

A: Yes, absolutely! This is a great alternative if you are in a pinch for time. Follow the same instructions, then cook in the instant pot on Manuel high pressure for 7 minutes. Wait 5 minutes after it cooks, then release the pressure!

Q: Could I use pecans instead of walnuts?

A: Yes, you may. I prefer the taste of walnuts but pecans will work as well.

Q: Could I use any variety of apples?

A: Any apples will work, but I would recommend using any variety of red apples because they tend to be sweeter. I’ve tried Granny Smith apples and because they are tart, they did not turn out as delicious. I recommend Gala apples are best. And because they are not so big, they do not take as long time to bake.
