While some may say that cookbooks are outdated, I enjoy having cookbooks on hand because it’s nice to have a hard copy of tried and true recipes. While yes, you can look up any recipe online, it’s just a whole different experience reading from a book versus a phone. Most of all, my favorite part of cookbooks are the aesthetically pleasing photographs that inspire me to recreate those recipes in my own kitchen.

Here is my list of my favorite cookbooks that I believe every kitchen should have. These are the books I go to for favorite recipes we have on repeat(other than my mother’s recipes that I have written out in my handmade personal cookbook). Who knows, maybe one day we’ll write our own cookbook 😉

Natasha’s Kitchen Cookbook
First and foremost, the Natasha’s Kitchen cookbook is my top pick! This one is packed with tried and true recipes. Literally, all the dishes that I made from this cookbook turned out delicious! Natasha makes it so easy to follow along to make mouth-watering food on a budget. It must be our Slavic roots or something because her recipes all taste like home. Natasha Kravchuk is a cook that I can trust!!!

Magnolia Table Volume 2 Cookbook
Although I’m not really one to follow all of the trends, the Magnolia Table cookbook is one that I went along with and was not disappointed. This cookbook was gifted to me on my bridal shower and it’s been so fun to flip through the pages whenever we’re about to host some family or friends. The texture of the cookbook cover is unique and makes it perfect to display. This cookbook is a go-to for classic American cuisine! Joanna Gaines did a great job of incorporating personal stories and creating a sense of togetherness.

Daily Sourdough Cookbook
Since our goal is to make delicious AND nutritious food, Lisa Bass’s Daily Sourdough cookbook is another cookbook that I would highly recommend anyone with a sourdough starter in their kitchen. Ever since I started experimenting with sourdough, Farmhouse on Boone has been a blog that I would visit often for sourdough recipes. This cookbook simplifies healthy eating and really explains how to incorporate sourdough into your life without any extra stress!

Half Baked Harvest Quick & Cozy Cookbook
Tieghan Gerard has an artistic touch when it comes to putting food on the table and the gorgeous photography is what gets me in her cookbook. The Half Baked Harvest Quick & Cozy cookbook focuses on cooking up comfort food in a hurry. Just looking through the photos in this cookbook makes me get that cozy feeling that I get in the thick of winter when I’m curled up on the couch listening to the fire crackle. Whenever I need dinner ready in 30 minutes this is the cookbook to go to.

Hope’s Table Cookbook
Hope’s Table Cookbook is written by Hope Helmuth and has recipes that have been passed on for generations. It’s interesting how culture influences the food that you make for your family. This cookbook is filled with lots of enticing Mennonite meals that are straight-forward, simple, and scrumptious! Once again, this one is also fun just to peek through, like a picture book!
