Pomegranate Bark Tutorial

December 1, 2024 by TwoPeasinTwoPods Leave a Comment

This little food tutorial can hardly be called a recipe because it only calls for TWO ingredients and is just too simple. I guess I’ll just call this a dessert inspiration for you to try at home. Seriously, this pomegranate bark is just the perfect pop of flavor. It has the best texture and the colors look so festive! This is the BEST dessert to bring to a Christmas party. It literally takes 5 minutes to set in the freezer and you’re done.

Though you can use whatever chocolate you like best, dark chocolate is the perfect base for pomegranates, in my opinion. And please use good quality chocolate for this. You’ll regret using Hershey’s because the flavor is just not there. Ghirardelli is where it’s at! The depth of flavor that the intense dark almond sea salt bar had was just indescribable!

How to Make Pomegranate Bark

  • Melt the chocolate. Aka stick in the microwave at 30 second intervals until the chocolate is completely melted. Or if you don’t like using a microwave(completely understandable) use a double boiler method to melt the chocolate in a glass bowl.
  • On a piece of parchment paper, make little circles of melted chocolate(whatever size you want). Smooth it out so that the chocolate isn’t too thick.
  • Add the pomegranates on top of the chocolate(however much you’d like).
  • Stick the parchment paper into the freezer for 5 minutes or just until set. Don’t overdo it or else the pomegranates will freeze.
This is what the melted chocolate looks like.

Ghirardelli’s chocolate is a great quality brand to use for this recipe.

This is the end of the process! I made this pomegranate bark after lunch and it was all gone by dinner time. I don’t think it’s a good idea to make this too often 😉
