If you’re looking for an easy and quick last minute dessert, you are in the right place! This easy chocolate mousse recipe is so velvety smooth, creamy, and just the right texture. I also love this recipe because it isn’t overbearingly sweet, its just right.

Ingredients for the Mousse
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 3/4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 3 large egg whites
- 2 Tbsp sugar

Instructions
1. Place a double boiler on low simmer and melt the chocolate chips. Turn off the heat and let it stand.

2. Beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.

3. Next, in another bowl beat the three egg whites on high speed until soft peaks form and then gradually add the 2 tbsp of sugar.

4. Using a spatula or a whisk, fold in the heated egg whites into the chocolate mixture.

5. Then, fold in the beaten heavy whipping cream.

6. Refrigerate for at least one hour.

7. Garnish with your choice of toppings: fruit, whip cream, chocolate, or nuts!
8. Finally, the chocolate mousse is ready to serve!
