I love seeing people’s homes any time of the year, but especially during Christmas! All the lights, decor, candles, and trees lit up in the windows. I would like to show how I decorated my home this year, so welcome to my blue, gold, and white Christmas home tour! Growing up, we took turns decorating our home with the theme red and gold or blue and silver. I decided since I mainly have gold and white ornaments, I’ll try adding blue touches to my decor this year and I’ve liked it so far!
If you missed it, be sure to check out Irene’s Christmas home tour this year! If you are interested in how I decorated for Christmas last year, you can also check it out here.

Ribbons
One way I love to add a Christmas touch in my home is to add ribbons everywhere! On the tree, on vases, literally anywhere you’d like! Here are some places I added these beautiful chiffon ribbons to!

Greenery
In addition to having a real tree, I love having greenery hanging in other spaces of the home to bring in the coziness of Christmas throughout the home! This year we got two trees: one in the living room and one in our toddlers room. Here are some photos of the little tree in my sons room.

We also hung up a garland in the kitchen above the sink for some holiday cheer and I hung some rosemary, dried orange slices, and cinnamon sticks on the dining room chandelier.

As I mentioned earlier, our primary theme for the ornaments on the tree is gold, white, and different shades of blue. I guess I was dreaming of a blue Christmas!

The Ornaments on the Tree
I honestly don’t own a lot of ornaments because I want to slowly collect good quality, beautiful ornaments that I love! Recently I went to a thrift store and bought some new ones to add. I thought the hexagon golden picture framed ones would add a special personal touch to the tree. Also, I found some cute little woodland animals and some wooden ornaments. I love adding natural elements to my Christmas decor to make it feel old-fashioned.

The Nativity

We love having a visual reminder throughout the Christmas season what we are really celebrating! All of the gifts, festivity, and gatherings can quickly set our mind on things other than what this season is all about. I set the nativity in our living room on one of the top shelves to daily remind us of the reason for the season. My husband got these beautiful lights from Lowes. I love how they look like stars hanging above the nativity.
Christmas photo card display

I love the tradition of giving family photo cards during Christmas and displaying them as part of the decor. This year I hung a ribbon and will be adding the photos to it with these little wooden pins I found.
Thrifting Christmas Decor
If you get anything out of my Christmas home tour, I want you to know decorating your home doesn’t have to be expensive! Go to the thrift store and see what they have! You may be surprised by the items you find. Here are some other thrifted decor pieces I have around my house! And yes, I think toys can also double as decor! I hope this inspires you to create a beautiful home during the holiday season and always!
