Fall Front Porch Decor Ideas

October 29, 2025 by TwoPeasinTwoPods Leave a Comment

Need some inspiration for some fall front porch decor? We recently painted the exterior of our house and it got me excited to start making the outside of our home more inviting. The outside of our house went from a bright blue to a greenish/brownish color. With fall in full swing, I thought it would be timely to do something special for autumn!

All the gourds laying together to add some warmth to the front steps.

Buying pumpkins can really add up, so we opted for gourds to add an autumn touch to the front steps. Although gourds are smaller in size, I appreciate all of the different shapes, colors, and sizes that I found in one bag from Grocery Outlet. I also selected just two white little pumpkins to add on each side next to the mums. Hanging a wreath on the front door also adds so much character to the front door. Check out the fall swag I made last year for my fall front door.

This is how my front porch looked from a further pov.

These mums have such a beautiful rusty hue to them, which is just the perfect fall color in my opinion! I picked up these mums also from Grocery Outlet and I thought that the packaging was also a pretty design. What I love about mums is that they grow well in our climate, so after November ends, I can repot them into the ground and they will come back next year. We already have purple mums growing in our backyard and I thought these orange ones will be nice to add next to them.

The combination of the fall veggies and mums.

The mulberry tree in our front yard has been dropping yellow leaves all over the front lawn, reminding us that fall is here and it looks so festive. I used some of those yellow leaves to incorporate into the fall decorations on the front steps. It’s so cool to incorporate free decorations from nature! Technically, all of the fall veggies and mums are all natural parts of the fall time, but the leaves were the only part I didn’t have to pay for.

I hope that this post gives you some inspiration to add a few simple decorations next to your front door! Let us know what other fall front porch decor ideas you have! We love to hear from our readers:)
