Welcome to the 10th day of the Christmas series where I will be sharing an assortment of desserts to bring to gatherings and/or gift to neighbors and friends! Maybe this year you are a little tight on the budget. Cookies still make a great gift because it is affordable and everyone loves a good cookie! Bring a stunning cake to a party and everyone will be impressed and have a grand time!
1. Chocolate Chip Cookies
The most basic and in my opinion one of the best cookies out there are chocolate chip cookies! They are so versatile because you could bake them to be soft, crunchy, with nuts, without nuts, any type of chocolate you’d like and they still turn out yummy! I recently made this recipe from Natashas Kitchen and we really enjoyed it. Chocolate chip cookies are a great dessert to gift because they are easy to make and always enjoyable.

2. Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
Irene recently made these also from the same blog, Natashas Kitchen, and they were delicious! Instead of using all-purpose flour though, she made them with her own grain-milled flour. It made this dessert healthier and on another level good! These chocolate crinkle cookies are not only delicious, they are also beautiful. They are the perfect Christmas cookie because it looks like snow was dusted on them from the powdered sugar, so they would make a great Christmas gift! (photo credit- Natashas Kitchen)

3. Pavlovas
Pavlovas are a show-stopper dessert for how pretty they are and have the great texture combo of crunchy from the meringue and smooth from the cream. I always add less sugar than the recipe calls for because it seems overly sweet when the called amount is added. I forgot to take a photo of the pavlovas solely but here they are in the center of this picture. The white goodness with blueberries on top! Here is the recipe if you’d like to give them a try! They are easier to make than they look!

4. Raspberry Meringue Cake
Speaking of meringue, this raspberry meringue cake is a great one to bring to Christmas dinner with family or friends! It looks so impressive and tastes even better! I mean, who doesn’t like a good ice cream cake?

5. The Christmas Star
This cinnamon sugar Christmas star bread is such a pretty dessert, you could hardly believe it is edible! It doubles as a great gift because it is symbolic of the star that brought the wise men to come and worship the Christ-child when He was born. We gifted this dessert to our neighbors this year because of how pretty it is and delicious. It tastes like cinnamon rolls just as a star shape. Top with powdered sugar and it looks even prettier!
